The Ancient Greeks and the Romans started to get their scientific ideas before the 1500's. Ancient Greeks and Romans and the bible gave the scholars the idea of science. Some used the bible to find out answers to their scientific questions. Others used the scientific method to explain how the Earth wasn't the center of the universe. Scientific method means to study and try some experiments so that they can prove that their theory was right. Isaac Newton was one of the scientists that used the scientific method to approve and disprove other scientists theories.
